Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society Membership
This option is for a membership to the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society. Please select an individual membership for one person, or a family membership for multiple members in the same household. Joining now will give you membership through December 31st, 2024. A 3% online convenience fee has been added to the membership price.
SWIDS Single Membership $20 (yearly)
SWIDS Family Membership $25 (yearly)
Objectives: We are a society of like-minded individuals who all share the love of that evolving-color-changing paradigm called a dahlia. Our society wants to expand in membership so that as a Society, we can educate the public with demonstrations and eventually, hold our own judged exhibition showcase. We had a trial garden of sorts with the Idaho Botanical Gardens in 2022 that struggled with its own adolescent challenges and the Society hopes to continue the relationship with IBG for future projects.
Membership Benefits: Members get to hang out and discuss endless dahlia details ranging from taking cuttings from tubers in the early stages of spring, to how to divide your fully grown tuber masses from late fall digging. A goal of the Society is to have a judged exhibition show in 2023 as well as our own trained group of judges so that we can evolve SWIDS into other neighboring societies and expand our educational platforms. The biggest insider perk of membership is the annual tuber sale! We do offer public sales, but members get first dibs! Plus, in all honestly, we are a fun, quirky group of random individuals that all come together over the love for darn flower… cheap therapy if you ask me.
